Hey folks, just want to toss out a simple suggestion/request. Personally, I love instant spawning, but of course, those who can't read the name of the server often bitch about it. I like how frantic, chaotic, and hardcore things get when both teams are just funneling out of the spawns.
The one suggestion I have is instant teleporters. I know, sounds crazy. Just hear me out. Right now, it is DAMN hard to get to the third stage of Dustbowl (I only play dustbowl, so that is where this perspective comes from). Its not impossible, but you have to have a great team against a mediocre one to advance that far. I'm sure it has happened, and will happen again, but it won't be common.
Red has the advantage with instant spawning. They are right there at the cap point of the second cap. Blue has a long run to get back into any forward position, except the one or two lucky ones that catch the teleporter at the right time.
With instant teleporters, you literally wait maybe a second or two between teleports. This evens out the playing field. Both teams still have the same mods, but Blue can now stage attacks a bit quicker and keep the defense on edge. It is still hard to cap the last point, but you will find that you see the third portion of Dustbowl alot more, which usually pleases all.

I would first like to welcome you to XFactorGaming! I read through your idea and I think it is a fantastic suggestion. I will be sure to add the mod tommrow morning for we can test it out. Also make sure to jump into our ventrilo and hang out with us. :)

Great, thanks for the quick response. The Gib$Ru$ servers use them, and they have been very sucessful. Just a few FYI's:
1. Keep an eye out for griefers. There are a few exploits out there that will cause players to loop from one enterance to another. It's very rare, but it can happen. It never happens on accident, it is always intentional griefing.
2. Rarely, but not as rare as number 1, is the fact that some porters will "break" if it teleports a large amount of people at relatively the same time. When I say "break", an engineer's porter will revert to a normal recharge time. It fixes itself within a few minutes.
3. Make sure all of your admins know if testing goes well and you put the instant teleporters into play. When I first saw it, I though an engineer was hacking. Most people who haven't seen it will think the same thing. Just keep that in mind that you may get a kick/ban on accident.
4. You may look at scaling whatever stats service you use for points awarded per teleport. With engineers getting tons of teleports per stage, their stats will probably get skewed. Not talking game points, but the ranking system. My personal best was around 140 teleports in a single round of attacking.
Please keep in mind that I have never been responsible for adding mods to any servers, so I couldn't tell you how to fix/tweak anything with the instant teleporter mod. However, like I said before, they bring a level of gameplay that is extremely fun.

We have extensive experience with adding mods, so I don't think it will be an issue. Derek is a pitbull when it comes to getting the servers dialed in, and he won't stop until everything is working great.
Thanks for the suggestions btw, I am sure they will come to good use. Its rare we get someone offering useful advice, and not just complaints. I hope you decide to stick around!

I had a case of this yesterday. We were all stuck in a perpetual loop of the first stage and occasionally the second (whenever our engies decided to fail hard on defense). We'd get one good uber, knock out the sentry nests, almost cap it, no one would follow in, and it just kept going like that for the whole match. XD
I'm down for trying it out. Seems like an easy way to get your whole team moved up and ready to push.

Well, seems to be working great. I played the third stage of Dustbowl twice this evening. Blue didn't win, but that was a given with me on D. :P
